We went on our FIRST field trip to Rose Hill Manor. Rose Hill Manor is a historic home in Maryland. During the field trip the class was separated into two groups. Each group visited the same locations but at different times. The kinders were able to visit an ice house, blacksmith shop, children's bedroom, parlor, kitchen, and log cabin. In each room they saw tools, and examples of items from the past. It gave us lots of background knowledge for our unit on things from the past. In the kitchen we watched how popcorn was made in the past. We even got to try some popcorn! Here are some pictures from the trip. (Note: I was only with one group so my pictures are from that group and do not feature all students.)
