On Friday we celebrated the end of our weather unit with a fashion show. The kinders had a blast walking the runway and giving weather reports. Check out the pictures below!
The kinders really enjoyed learning about the U.S. symbols. (Especially since so many of them can be seen in our area!) To finish up our unit, we used clay to create a model of a symbol. Here is a picture of one of our symbols. Today we learned more about wind. We used the words breeze and gust to describe different types of wind. We watched the video below and identified the wind. We also analyzed how we know it is windy. We cannot see the wind but we can feel it, hear it, and see the objects it causes to move. We learned about different tools used to measure wind and then created our own. Since it was not windy today we used a fan to test them. Check out the pictures of our measurement tools below. Today we learned about the water cycle, which was hard for us to believe because we can't actually see it happening. We are doing an experiment in our class to see if water will evaporate. What will happen to the water in the bag??
