Our math curriculum has circled back to data collection. Today we learned about everyone's favorite weather. (I have to admit I was a little surprised that snow was so popular.)
As promised, here are some pictures from our keepsake museum. Thank you to all the families that visited the museum. The class loved listening to your notes after field day! The set up was totally kindergarten created and I was a particular fan of the signs hanging on the door. "Please do not bring any glass and weapons to Miss Matthews Museum."
"Adult bathrooms are down the hall near the recess doors." "Absolutely no drinks in the museum." Here are some pictures of the actual exhibits! I can't believe it but we are almost finished with kindergarten! Today we started talking about first grade and preparing for first grade. We shared things we are excited about, wondering about and worried about. We learned that in first grade we will get to sit in desks, use the bathroom in the hall and make new friends. We learned that we will not all be in the same class next year. Everyone will have a few familiar friends in their first grade class. We learned that we have the power to determine what our year is like in first grade. If we decide it will be a bad year or we will have no friends, it will become a reality. If we have a positive attitude we can make great things happen. We learned that our ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING! Here is what we shared today.
